Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth: This is the religious congregation of women who owns and operates Xavier Center and provides holy and financial support for our work. Browse our site to begin to understand a little of who we are.
The College of Saint Elizabeth is sponsored by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth and is on the same grounds as Xavier Center. They offer a myriad of undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs, including certificates in a variety of ministry preparation areas. Of particular interest for you might be the Center for Theological and Spiritual Development, offering not only certificate programs but a Spring Convocation and a Summer Institute on current theological and ministry topics.
United States Conference of Catholic Bishops: This site provides updated news and information of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States. It also provides a link to the daily lectionary readings. Vatican Website: Here you will find in English the major documents of the Roman Catholic Church, including the encyclical letters of recent popes, a tour of the Vatican Museum, access to certain materials in the Vatican Library, and current news.
E Catholicism: Everything you always wanted to know about Catholicism -- daily readings, scripture, saints, topics of social justice -- just a compendium of miscellany that is extremely fun to plow through and it changes often! (PS: it is also the website developed by our web designer, Joe Cece.)
Sacred Space: This prayer site, run by the Irish Jesuits, guides you through a short session of prayer centered on scripture. It us updated daily. What a wonderful opportunity in the middle of a work day.
Creighton University Online Ministries: Maintained by the Jesuit Creighton University, this site contains daily prayers, an "Online Retreat for Busy People" based on an Ignatian format, and an Audio Retreat among other helps to spiritual growth.
Interfaith Center for Corporate Responsibility: This is the website for an organization of faith-based groups, including many religious congregations, who are committed to socially responsible investing, a major avenue for promoting justice on a corporate level.
