THE LABYRINTH

The Labyrinth is an ancient spiritual tool known for its transformative and healing qualities.  Xavier Center's Labyrinth is a portable canvas model patterned after the Chartres Cathedral Labyrinth in France. It is 35 feet in diameter with the design painted in purple. It is a universal path, one path in and out. The winding circuitous walk is a form of walking meditation or prayer. Walking the Labyrinth is an ancient spiritual act of pilgrimage symbolizing one's walk with God or journey through life.

It is said that when one fully engages in the "walk" of the Labyrinth one can experience quieting of the mind, an opening of the heart, and a calling forth of a sense of wholeness, oneness, peace and possibility.

Please phone (973-290-5100) or e-mail (xaviercenter@scnj.org) to let us know of your interest in labyrinth days or to find when we have scheduled times for the reflective Labyrinth walk. You may also find information on our indoor labyrinth in the Fall/Winter Brochure.
We provide socks or bring your favorite pair to change into before walking the labyrinth.

NEW AT XAVIER: OUTDOOR LABYRINTH AVAILABLE AT ALL TIMES in the back of Xavier Center.
