SPIRITUAL DIRECTION AND RETREATS

 

Beginning in September 2007, we will once again offer a ministry of spiritual direction here at Xavier Center.  Joining our staff on a part-time basis will be Sister Barbara Connell, SC who has long experience in the ministry of spiritual direction.  For many years she was a member of the staff of Loyola Retreat Center in Morristown, and was a favored choice of many for spiritual direction.  Sr. Barbara will be available on an "appointment basis."  Please contact her at 973-290-5105 or 5100 to speak with her (after September 1st.)

 

Sr. Barbara will also be coordinating Xavier Center spirituality offerings such as our Advent, Lenten, and summer retreat opportunities.  We are delighted that Sr. Barbara will be with us!

 

Private,  Guided and Directed Retreats are available at Xavier Center. These retreats are times of solitude and prayer based on the Scriptures and the opportunity to meet daily with a Director.  We have a wing set aside our our 3rd floor for private, guided, and directed retreats to help you find quiet and solitude.  There is a small chapel there as well as some bedrooms. Depending on the schedule of the Center, a retreat of any length may be arranged at most times. Please contact our main office or Sr. Barbara Connell for more information.
